My little Guy

Oh how I love you Blake! You have just been the sweetest baby of all time! You let your mommy sleep!! :) When I brought you home you would have your first run of sleep last 5 hours... now you are going 9 hours and sometimes more! It has been amazing. Brayden and I both appreciate it, because now Brayden doesnt have a zombie mommy anymore in the morning! lol Not only do you sleep so long, but you put yourself to sleep. After feedings I lay you in your bed awake. I turn the lights off and check on you 5 min later and you are out. You have been a very easy going baby.

You are 2 months now:
*You weighed 13 pounds 24 inches long and 16 inches head circumference at your doctors appt
*You got 4 shots, which you turned purple in the face and didnt breath for what seemed like 5 minutes! It was the saddest thing ever :(
*You love waking up in the morning talking away. I love hearing your coos
*You are becoming more alert, making more eye contact and smiling at people all the time
*You still eat 2 hours during the day, but I will take it cause you sleep SO LONG!
*You loved to get rocked to sleep when Brayden goes down for a nap. Mommy needs her cuddle time with her baby! :)
*Daddy, Mommy, and Brayden just love EVERYTHING about you! You are perfect!

Basketball Party

So this past weekend Brayden went to his friend, Trey's 2nd Birthday party. It was super fun for the kids. They had tubes, balls, hoops, trampolines and mats for the kids to play with. Brayden was entertained the whole time! It was so nice to see him play and for me to catch up with friends. :)

All the kids!

Birthday Fun

Wow! I can definitely say this has been one crazy week and a half full of Birthday Fun! With Brayden and his cousin Anna being born 3 days apart it makes for some crazy party time. Holli and I love throwing combined parties for the kids, but we have also talked about making them individually special by throwing parties for just them on their actual day. So this year this is what we did.... On Anna's Birthday, July 13Th we went to the children's museum during the day. It was so much fun, and let me just say I wish they had that when I was little. They have a grocery store, kitchen/chef area, noodle maze, race car tracks, bike car wash and so much more. The kids had so much fun Brayden was passed out in the car in 2 minutes after we left.

Blake chilling and being such a good baby

Later that night we went over to Holli and Brad's where we had dinner and birthday cake and presents. A time to spoil Anna :)

Happy Birthday ANNA

On Braydens Birthday, July 16Th, we went to Bounce Jungle during the day. Now, I thought the kids would love this but they actually hated it in the beginning. I had to go buy socks for myself so I could go in the bouncy things with them. I was determined to make my son not afraid. So I was the mean mom shoving my son on the bouncers. He just does not like the ground underneath him moving :) But as time went on and a great workout for me he started to go on them without me prompting him too. He loved the rock wall they had, but after going down the slide the first time he was scared to death. So he would only go down with the girl who worked there. Silly boy.

Loved the rock climbing

Brayden is just not so sure about this

After Bounce Jungle we went to Chick fil a for lunch. This is Brayden and mommy's favorite place to eat :) I also have to say that Aunt Sarah is such a great friend! She came with us to help with the kids and celebrate with them. She spoils them so much!

The next day we had a Car themed Birthday party for him with Eric and my families. It was a lot of fun and low key. Eric and my dad made fajitas and I made the cake.

Brayden had a great time and so did we. Around 9 we put the kids to bed and played cards with my grandparents until midnight! Fun memories I must say.

LASTLY was the combined LUAU party for the kids. It was a blast! Fun, crazy, and hot all at the same time! The kids LOVED it.

Since the kids birthdays were in the summer I knew I wanted to do something water related but didnt want to have to worry about a pool and getting in the water with them. So we decided on baby pool and slip and slide! I was thinking about getting a kid slip and slide and when I brought this up to Eric, he told me absolutely not that he had a way BIGGER and BETTER plan. He wanted to make his slip and slide. If you know Eric this doesnt surprise anyone :) I just love him. The kids had fun. It started off a little slow, but once the Big boys figured out launching the kids worked better down they went! It was awesome.

Looking back over these events I feel so blessed with the family and friends we have. They truly helped make this Birthday unforgettable!

My Baby is 2!

Before you were born
I dreamed of you,
I imagined you,
I prayed for you,
Now that you're here
I hope for you,
I love you,
and I thank God for you
.

Happy Birthday my sweet boy! I can not believe it has already been 2 years. I know I always say this but time as flown by. I remember the day the doctors placed you in my arms for the first time. Wasn't that just yesterday?!!! :) These past 2 years have been the best years of my life. You have brought Daddy and I so much joy and love, it is indescribable. Each new stage of yours has been so much fun to watch. You are truly a miracle and gift from God.

Recap on Life

Man, I am so bad at this... I have not blogged since Blake was born!!! Adjusting to life with 2 little boys was a little harder than I expected, but I am finally getting the hang of it. I am loving having another baby. Blake has just been so good to me. Right from the get go he slept 4 to 5 hours at night for his first run and then 3 hours after that! Brayden just absolutely adores him and pays so much attention to him. Almost to the point where I have to ask him to leave him alone so Blake can sleep :)

The life of Blake:

*You are getting big way too fast!
*At your 1 month appt you weighed 11 pounds .5 ounces
*You were only in newborn diapers for 1 week before I had to change you to size 1's because you would pee out of them every hour it seemed.
*You love to cuddle and eat every 2 to 3 hours during the day.
*You are going to be 2 months on the 19th of this month and have been smiling for the past 2 weeks.

Blake Isaac

Just shy of 39 weeks, you decided to enter the world on May 19th at 8:21am. You were beautiful. Daddy was able to cut the umbilical cord and You were able to lay on me right away to bond. Something Daddy and I weren't able to experience with your brother since the cord was around his neck and he was having breathing issues. You had many visitors that came to see you and love on you right away. Both grandparents, Uncle Brett, Aunt Tiff, Uncle Pj, Uncle Steve, Aunt Holli, Aunt Sarah, Brittany, Steph, and Kim all came to see you. We were able to leave the next day since you were doing so well as long as we saw the doctor on Friday as a follow-up. We were so excited to take you home and to video tape Braydens reaction, but weren't able to as we got a phone call 2 minutes to getting home saying Brayden threw up. So after about 6 more times of your Brother throwing up Daddy took him to the Emergency room to get zofran and fluids. It was just you and me the rest of the night. You did much better than your first night in the hospital. I think you are going to love your bed :) You want to eat every 2 hours sometimes sooner. You have quite an appetite. I am going to have to try the pacifier soon for you so you don't think you have to eat every minute of the day. You are loved so much by so many people and we are so happy to have you in our lives.

Birth Story

He FINALLY came :) I really thought he wasnt going to ever come out as the days kept getting longer and longer and I was having all these false contractions and then one day they just stopped :) On May 19th at 2:30 in the morning I woke up to some pretty strong contractions. After about 3 of them I woke Eric up and told him I dont know if this is the real deal or not but they are hurting and coming freguently. We started timing them and found out they were actually every 2 to 3 min apart. Eric started to pack things up and kept telling me we are going to the hospital. I was a little hesitant because I didnt want this to be a false alarm and wanted to time them longer than 20 min. But I wasnt thinking clearly and was sooo glad Eric got me in the car cause it wasnt much longer than 20 min where I was contracting every 2 min consistently. We got to labor and delivery and I thought I was going to die. I know the things they have to do are procedure but seriously cant u tell I am in pain and cannot talk please just wheel me back to my delivery room and get me my epidural!! :) Nope! they made me do the whole check in process and then was going to hook me up to the monitor to watch my contractions. I told them I was not getting into bed because this was it and I was in so much pain I couldnt lay down I just wanted to walk. So she got the nurse in who told me I just needed to get in bed so they can see how much I have dilated. As soon as she checked me she called for my wheelchair to take me to my delivery room cause i was at 6 cm. We got to my delievery room and they quickly hooked me up to my iv. and still no epidural because my blood pressure was too low. You think, I am going to die here I thought. Contractions were every minute and a half and I had eric rubbing my back constantly due to back labor. Blakes face was facing the wrong way, but thankfully turned as he was moving down. After the doctor came in and said i was 8 cm. I pleaded for the epidural thinking i was going to be too late. Finally I got one and my blood pressure went to normal. See I told them. Apparently when u are in pain typically it is suppose to go up, well mine goes down. After about 10 more min I felt great, still felt pressure but I would take that any day. The epidural slowed my contractions down a little but I didnt mind cause I wanted to rest before I needed to start pushing. The doctor came in and broke my water at 9 cm and a little under an hour of pushing my sweet little boy was here! My whole labor time was 5 hours long. Blake weighed 7 pounds 9 ounces and was 21.5 inches long. He was perfect!
