60th wedding anniversary and More....

This past weekend we celebrated my Grandparents (Zehring) 60th wedding anniversary! It was so precious to see after all these years the love they still have for one another! I am so blessed to have such an amazing family... (on a side note both sets of grandparents on both sides of Erics and my family are still married to the FIRST person they said "I DO" too and are STILL ALIVE!! Can you say thank you GOD! SO Blessed) Ok back to the day.... My Grandparents had 9 boys! So lets just say my family is HUGE... It was so neat to see such a large family be so close with everyone- something I totally want with my own family... now I dont think I want 9 kids!!! But it made me realize more how much I want a big family :) All the zehring cousins had a contest towards the end of the party and at the end it came between Joey and Nate. The DJ came up with a tie breaker to see who can look more like a girl. We had ONE SONG to get into teams and dress up the boys!! AND then they had to dance... It was pretty hilarious... i mean you would be surprised with stuff we were pulling out of our purses...

Brayden and his second cousin Preston! Love playing with eachother!! Between Alyse and myself we have 5 boys! A basketball team :)

My Sweet Husband.... Hoping we can make it 60 years plus too :)

The next pictures are just a couple of random shots of the boys through this week... Blake is loving his toys and has to roll over anytime he is on his back so I know my days of him not being mobile are closing in fast :)

Blake loving his Zebra toy

HAHA LOVE this one of the boys... they both have their pointer fingers out! HILARIOUS... I just love how my blake is wide eyed! Just like how all of my baby pictures are :) It will be ok sweetie... there will be a time when you will feel you dont always have to hold your eyes like you are surprised... my mommy told me the same thing!

My baby is 4 months.....

So I am off a couple of days but you just had your doctors appt yesterday so I needed to get all your new measurements first!

*You weigh 15 pounds 12 ounces, 26.5 inches long and your head circumference is 17 inches. You are growing beautifully being in the 75% for head and weight and 90% for length.
*Eyes are still blue and getting lighter... are you going to have the same ones as your brother?!
*You rolled over for the first time on your exact 4 month birthday (September 19th)from back to stomach. You have already been rolling over to your back when on your stomach. I strongly believe that is because your head is so big that when you move it to the side it brings your whole body with you :) but it is very exciting because now you can roll on either side.
*You are eating about every 3 hours. Still just nursing.
*You still sleep great and love having a bedtime of about 8 or 8:30 and sleep till about 6. You eat again and typically wake up anywhere between 9 or 10! (that is if we dont have anywhere to be in the morning)
*You are grabbing for toys and love holding on to them. You also love your hands. I so enjoy watching you discover them and what they can do. Your facial expressions are priceless.
*You are SO ALERT. Daddy calls you "nosey like mommy" Let me just tell you sweetie that is not a bad thing! It is good to know what is going on around you :) But I have to say you would not go asleep on the airplane until we covered your face with a blanket because you just had to see what was going on. I love you.
*You talk and talk and talk....I believe you are going to be very social
*You Love your brother and watch everything he does. HE also takes good care of you.

giving some attitude :)

Indiana Trip

Wow... Let me just say my kids did amazing on the plane to and from. Being that the last time we flew Brayden screamed the whole flight I was very nervous what it was going to be like with both kids. My mom came with us and was a huge help. I dont think I will ever travel with myself and the kids until they all can walk on their own and listen VERY WELl to me :) Getting ready for this trip was very fun. We got him his first rolling suitcase to keep all of his "things" needed to keep him busy for the 4 hour flight. Of course I tried to find a really cute one, ones that didnt have "characters" on it, but couldnt find them in stores and waited to the last minute to order them online. So... after talking with Eric he told me to get the kid a character one because he is 2!! So after realizing he was right (and I couldnt find the ones I was looking for anyways :) ) we went out to find either a buzz lightyear or cars suitcase. And we found a cute Lighting mcqueen that brayden grabbed off the shelf yelling "lightning" "lightning" I have to admit it was pretty cute :) He pulled that suitcase through target to the check out line and was so excited to pull it through the airport. This was actually very good for Brayden because it made him stay with us because he was copying what we were doing and felt like a big boy :)
The flight there was great.. no crying from both kids and same with the way back.
Now to our visit.... Visting family is always so much fun. All of my moms sisters are in Indiana as well as her parents. The trip (a week long)always goes too quickly and every day was filled with fun.

Blake and 2nd cousin Claire

4 generation picture.

At my aunt and uncles lake house. We had a great time going out on the boat. My uncle let brayden help drive which he loved and even made the mistake of showing him the horn. Lets just say Brayden loved that button. :)

Brayden with cousin Carrie. We visited Carrie at her work. She is currently rescuing animals from the oil spills. It was crazy to see the process in which they take to clean the animals.. very very cool. Carrie let Brayden hold one of the turtles she caught :)

Brayden loved playing the piano. It was so funny because my parents have a piano at their home and he has not once touched it, but here he had to play us something everyday!

At the zoo with 2nd cousins Eva and Sophie. This zoo was so neat. You could see the animals UP CLOSE. The tigers and lions were amazing. They walked right infront of us and stayed there. It is like they knew we wanted to look at them. I feel like at the Phoenix zoo they hide and are only visible from afar!

Love my boys. Best buds :) I am still so amaze at how Brayden has made the adjustment to his brother and how well he interacts and loves on him. AND I am so thankful for what a good baby Blake is... Seriously he is perfect! They both are... I am truly blessed
