Birthday Fun

Wow! I can definitely say this has been one crazy week and a half full of Birthday Fun! With Brayden and his cousin Anna being born 3 days apart it makes for some crazy party time. Holli and I love throwing combined parties for the kids, but we have also talked about making them individually special by throwing parties for just them on their actual day. So this year this is what we did.... On Anna's Birthday, July 13Th we went to the children's museum during the day. It was so much fun, and let me just say I wish they had that when I was little. They have a grocery store, kitchen/chef area, noodle maze, race car tracks, bike car wash and so much more. The kids had so much fun Brayden was passed out in the car in 2 minutes after we left.

Later that night we went over to Holli and Brad's where we had dinner and birthday cake and presents. A time to spoil Anna :)

Happy Birthday ANNA

On Braydens Birthday, July 16Th, we went to Bounce Jungle during the day. Now, I thought the kids would love this but they actually hated it in the beginning. I had to go buy socks for myself so I could go in the bouncy things with them. I was determined to make my son not afraid. So I was the mean mom shoving my son on the bouncers. He just does not like the ground underneath him moving :) But as time went on and a great workout for me he started to go on them without me prompting him too. He loved the rock wall they had, but after going down the slide the first time he was scared to death. So he would only go down with the girl who worked there. Silly boy.

Loved the rock climbing

Brayden is just not so sure about this

After Bounce Jungle we went to Chick fil a for lunch. This is Brayden and mommy's favorite place to eat :) I also have to say that Aunt Sarah is such a great friend! She came with us to help with the kids and celebrate with them. She spoils them so much!

The next day we had a Car themed Birthday party for him with Eric and my families. It was a lot of fun and low key. Eric and my dad made fajitas and I made the cake.

Brayden had a great time and so did we. Around 9 we put the kids to bed and played cards with my grandparents until midnight! Fun memories I must say.

LASTLY was the combined LUAU party for the kids. It was a blast! Fun, crazy, and hot all at the same time! The kids LOVED it.

Since the kids birthdays were in the summer I knew I wanted to do something water related but didnt want to have to worry about a pool and getting in the water with them. So we decided on baby pool and slip and slide! I was thinking about getting a kid slip and slide and when I brought this up to Eric, he told me absolutely not that he had a way BIGGER and BETTER plan. He wanted to make his slip and slide. If you know Eric this doesnt surprise anyone :) I just love him. The kids had fun. It started off a little slow, but once the Big boys figured out launching the kids worked better down they went! It was awesome.

Looking back over these events I feel so blessed with the family and friends we have. They truly helped make this Birthday unforgettable!
